Who is responsible

EPL Without City is an independent football statistics project operated by Oliver Skelton. This notice describes how personal information is handled on eplwithoutcity.com. The contact address above is also the address for privacy requests.

Using the tables

The table explorer has no registration form, mailing list, or payment form. It calculates and filters the supplied football data in your browser. Your selected season, club and filters appear in the page URL and browser history; the explorer does not save them to cookies or browser local storage. The selected filters may therefore be included when you share a link or when a page request is logged.

Technical information and service providers

Delivering a webpage involves processing technical information such as your IP address, browser details, requested URL and time of access. Hosting and security providers may use this information to deliver the site, investigate faults and prevent abuse. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure. Access controls provided by the host may also use authentication cookies.

The table explorer loads fonts and the AdSense library from Google. These requests send technical information to Google even when no advertisement is displayed. This privacy page does not load the advertising library or external fonts.

We rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the site and to respond to enquiries. Our interests are maintaining a working statistics service, handling corrections and protecting it against misuse.

Optional Google Analytics

If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, traffic sources, device/browser categories and engagement, including which seasons, clubs and views people explore. Google processes technical information, including an IP address when your browser connects, and cookie identifiers. We do not send your email address, a signed-in user ID or contact-message contents in our analytics events. Our custom football events contain only the predefined selections available in the explorer.

Analytics relies on your consent. On this page, the table explorer and Money & cups, the Analytics library stays blocked until you choose Accept analytics. Rejecting leaves the site available. Money & cups records a page view after consent; its financial filter selections are not sent as custom events. Use at any time and choose Reject analytics to stop further Analytics collection on this site and clear its Analytics cookies. Withdrawing does not undo processing that already took place; contact us about deletion requests.

We save your accept/reject choice in this browser’s local storage under epl-analytics-consent-v1 for 180 days to remember your preference, then ask again. This preference is separate from optional analytics data. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies only to the current page. Clearing browser storage or using another browser may require a new choice.

With consent, Analytics cookies use the epl_ga name prefix to distinguish visits and sessions. We configure their maximum lifetime to 180 days without renewing it on each page load; browsers may shorten it. Google’s service-side data retention is controlled by the Analytics property settings and Google’s policies; the cookie lifetime is not a promise that stored reports are deleted after 180 days. Contact us for information about the current property retention setting. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in our Analytics configuration.

Read how Google uses data from partner sites. This analytics choice does not give consent to advertising; advertising remains paused as explained below.

Advertising and cookies

Advertising is currently paused. The AdSense library is installed, but the site does not currently request advertisements. Pausing advertisements does not prevent the library request from reaching Google.

If advertising is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and, where you consent, personalise advertising. We will update this notice and provide appropriate consent controls before enabling advertising. Consent will be requested where required; a privacy notice by itself does not grant consent.

See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google’s advertising information. Your browser can clear or block cookies. Google’s ad settings provide additional controls over personalisation; they do not replace choices made through a website’s consent controls.

When you email us

We receive your email address, any name you provide and the contents of your message. This information is used to deal with your enquiry and related follow-up. You choose what to send; please avoid including sensitive information that is not needed. Correspondence is handled through Gmail and is not used to subscribe you to marketing.

Retention and international processing

We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to resolve an enquiry, handle related follow-up or meet applicable legal obligations. Relevant factors include whether an issue is still open, whether the correspondence is needed to explain a correction, and whether a complaint or claim is ongoing. You can ask us about the information we hold or request deletion using the contact address above.

Service providers have their own retention and international processing arrangements. Their systems may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Their policies explain the safeguards and retention criteria they apply: OpenAI, Cloudflare and Google. Contact us if you need further information about the providers used by this site.

Your privacy rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, or receive a portable copy. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email PHW@gmail.com to make a request or raise a concern. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this notice

We will revise this page when the site’s handling of personal information changes. The date above shows when it was last updated.
